CompletedThe orchards are almost ready now
The Dudhiya Malda crop has now reached a healthy full size across the orchards, and harvest preparations are expected to begin in the coming days.
Fruit Maturing on Trees
Update
Today’s farm walk shows just how full the orchards have become as the season moves closer to harvest. Large green Dudhiya Malda mangoes are now visible across the branches, with many trees carrying heavy fruit loads throughout the canopy. The fruit has now reached a healthy size, and the orchards are entering the final stretch before harvest begins. Over the next few days, we’ll continue monitoring maturity, firmness and aroma before starting the first harvest batches. The feeling in the farms is changing now — from waiting for the fruit to grow, to preparing for the beginning of the harvest season.
Why this matters
For Dudhiya Malda, reaching the right size is only one part of the process. We still wait for the right natural maturity on the tree before harvest begins, so the flavour, aroma and texture develop properly without artificial ripening.
